On the 3th Of Sept 2010, I had travel from my hometown Ipoh to Alor Setar for my third clinical posting. After a long time I'm don't have step my foots into a state that famous with paddy (Kedah), it's make me feel very excited. On the first day in Alor Setar, as usual I went to hospital (Kedah Medical Center) early in the morning. Then I started my clinical posting like what I've done in the other hospital before this. In Kedah, I learned a lot of things that I never learned it before for example suctioning. During the first time of suction, I felt very nervous. I don't know how to insert a small tube into a baby nostrils and mouth. The baby kept on cried and cried. I knew it was hurt but without praticed I can't be prefect. Haha....so I can do is to said sorry to that cute little baby only. On the other day, I had done percussion to another baby. After that, I assisted a Physiotherapy for suction. During suction, that baby vomitted on my uniform. Owh....it was digusting but this is a part of my job so I can't complaint anything beside said "thanks cute little baby" LOLX.....Now have come to the most exciting part of my posting. I became one of the flood victims in Kedah. This incident I never thought it before because this natural phenomena never happened in throughout my life. After 2days non-stop of rain, all the rivers in Kedah started to rise and that problem caused flood. According to local people, this year are more serious compared to the year 2005. It's make me felt nervous and I quickly packed all my things and moved to a safer place that is Kedah Medical Center. On the night that started to flood, I had a chance to help one of the physio staff to lifted all the things in their house up before the flood getting serious. On the next day, the water started to rise until knee level. Although many other people battling with flood out there but I had a nice stay with meal on time and air-cond every night because I stay in hospital. This flood make me had a most adventurous posting until now. The flood lasted for 3days before get back to normal condition.
